Bio
Shelia Willette Gilbert was born in Greenwood Mississippi July 2, 1969. The heartbeat of the Delta. She is the second of five children. She is a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University earning a Bachelor of Music Education Degree.
She has done graduate studies at University of Mississippi and Western Governors University.
She began public speaking in her youth at local churches. She is a chosen vessel of Jesus Christ. She shares with women her passion and love without prejudice. Her testimonial is powerfully written on her pages.
She began writing as a composer. She would write little gospel songs and then record them at home making cd samples of songs. She formed a singing group & recorded at the local studio with family & friends. Her first book draft came into development around 2006. Then she drafted the book "Delta Child", in 2008. This book was about living life in the Mississippi Delta through the eyes of faith, family trials and triumphs.
She was excited about this new passion and wrote "Educating the Delta", soon after. Which explores how we can impact the future. "EVERYBODY CAN!!!!
